Welcome to HireStack Jobs (“HireStack”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operated at hirestackjobs.com. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, platform, and services.
By creating an account, accessing the platform, or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use HireStack.
1. Definitions
1.1. Platform
The HireStack website, applications, and related services.
1.2. User
Any person or entity using the Platform (including Talent and Clients).
1.3. Talent
Individuals offering skills and services (e.g., annotation, prompt engineering, evaluation, transcription, translation, data work).
1.4. Client
Companies or individuals posting projects and seeking Talent.
1.5. Project
Any task, assignment, or engagement posted or performed through the Platform.
1.6. Content
Any text, data, files, feedback, or materials uploaded or generated on the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts. By using HireStack, you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration and Security
  • You must create an account to access most features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, violate these Terms, or pose a risk to the Platform or other Users.
4. Nature of the Service
HireStack is a peer-to-peer marketplace that uses intelligent matching technology to connect Talent with Clients for remote work opportunities, primarily in AI-related and knowledge-based tasks.
We do not employ Talent. We are not a party to any contract between Talent and Clients. Any agreement for work is solely between the Talent and the Client. HireStack facilitates matching, project visibility, and (where applicable) payment processing, but does not guarantee project volume, earnings, or successful completion of any Project.
5. User Responsibilities
5.1. Talent
  • Provide accurate skills, experience, and availability information.
  • Perform accepted work professionally, on time, and to the stated quality standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Client materials and data
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including tax obligations in your jurisdiction.
5.2. Clients
  • Provide clear project descriptions, requirements, and fair compensation details.
  • Pay for approved work according to the agreed terms.
  • Not request or accept work that violates laws or these Terms.
5.3. All Users
  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes.
  • Not engage in fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, or any activity that harms other Users or the Platform.
  • Not attempt to circumvent the Platform’s systems, matching, or payment processes.
6. Payments, Fees, and Taxes
  • Payment terms, rates, and methods are set out in individual Project agreements or Platform policies.
  • HireStack may charge service fees or commissions (disclosed before you accept a Project or post one).
  • Talent are independent contractors and solely responsible for their own taxes, social contributions, and compliance with local laws.
  • We may withhold or delay payments in cases of dispute, suspected fraud, or quality issues pending resolution.
7. Intellectual Property
  • Talent retain ownership of pre-existing materials they bring to a Project, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Client.
  • Work product created specifically for a Client under a Project is typically owned by the Client upon full payment, subject to the specific Project terms.
  • HireStack retains all rights to the Platform, its technology, branding, and aggregated/anonymised data.
  • You grant HireStack a limited licence to use Content you upload as necessary to operate and improve the Platform.
8. Confidentiality and Data
Users must protect confidential information received through the Platform. You agree not to disclose Client data, project details, or other proprietary information except as required to perform the work or by law.
Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
  • Post false, misleading, or illegal content.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform.
  • Use the Platform to recruit or solicit Users off-platform in violation of our policies.
  • Engage in discrimination, harassment, or any form of abuse.
  • Upload malware or attempt unauthorised access.
  • Use the Platform for any activity that violates applicable laws (including data protection, intellectual property, or labour laws).
10. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific earnings, project availability, or the quality or reliability of any User.
We are not responsible for the actions, content, or performance of any Talent or Client.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HireStack and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Platform.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Platform shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (or USD 100 if no fees were paid).
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold HireStack harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Platform, your Content, your Projects, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Termination
You may close your account at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in harmful conduct, or for any other reason at our discretion.
Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect after termination.
14. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes may be notified via the Platform or email where appropriate.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Abuja, Nigeria.
